Roaming Nativity at St Bart’s

We had another successful Roaming Nativity on Monday 16th December at 6 30pm. Once again the weather was kind for our groups as we followed the nativity story. The children got to meet Father Christmas at Churchfield house  before starting the journey to meet the Innkeeper in the vicarage grounds then onto the Memorial park to a lively display of lights and lanterns to see the baby Jesus surrounded by Joseph & Mary and the shepherds and angel. We all sang the first verse of ‘Away in a Manger’.The children where able to pet the animals including donkeys and Guinea pigs before returning to church. Here we congregated around the Christmas tree where Joseph & Mary cradled a real baby, the three kings had brought their gifts for baby Jesus. Our Vicar Graham spoke about the meaning of Christmas before wishing everyone a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
